RDP/ Redispersible Polymer powder is composed of a special polymers made of powder adhesive after spray drying. This powder is contact with water can be dispersed again in soon after forming emulsion, and with the nature of the same as the initial emulsion, namely the film can be formed after the moisture evaporation, the film has high flexibility, high resistance to weathering and on various substrate with high caking property. the powder environmental protection, energy saving, high quality, used for powder materials, dry-mix mortar is an indispensable functional additives.

It can improve the performance of mortar, raise the strength of the mortar, improve the bonding strength of mortar with different base material, improve the mortar flexible and variable line, compressive strength, flexural strength, abrasion resistance and toughness, stick relay and water retention, constructability.

RDP/Redispersible Polymer Powder is a commonly used organic cementation material, which is obtained by spray drying polymer emulsion such as polyvinyl alcohol to protect colloids, and this powder can be re-evenly dispersed in water after water to form emulsion. The addition of redispersible emulsion powder can improve the water retention performance of the newly mixed cement mortar, as well as the bonding property, flexibility, impermeability and corrosion resistance of the hardened cement mortar.
At present, the main applications of dispersible emulsion powder in the market are: ethylene copolymer (VAC/E), vinyl vinylchloride and vinyl laurate ternary copolymer (E/VC/VL), ethylene and higher fatty acid vinyl ester ternary copolymer (VAC/E/Veo Va), vinylacetate homopolymer (PV) AC), styrene and butadiene copolymerization rubber powder (SBR), other binary and ternary copolymerization rubber powder, other formula rubber powder with functional additives, other formula rubber powder with functional additives and more than one kind of rubber powder, etc.

Rdp/Redispersible powder is usually white powder, but there are a few products in other colors. The components of dispersible emulsion powder mainly include the following.
(1) Polymer resin. Polymer resin is located in the core part of rubber powder particles, and is also the main component of dispersible latex powder, such as polyvinylacetate/vinyl resin, styrene/butadiene resin, vinyl/vinylchloride/vinyl laurate resin, etc.
(2) Additives (inside). The additive (inside) plays a role in improving the properties of the resin. For example, a plasticizer that reduces the film forming temperature of the resin. Not every emulsion powder has additives, such as vinylacetate/vinyl copolymer resins do not need to add plasticizers.
(3) Protective colloid. The protective colloid is a layer of hydrophilic material coated on the surface of dispersible latex powder particles. Most of the protective colloid of redispersible emulsion powder is polyvinyl alcohol.
(4) Additives (outside). In order to further improve the performance of the redispersible emulsion powder, other additives other than plasticizers are usually added, here called additives. Usually, a superplasticizer is added to the dispersible emulsion powder to improve the fluidity and dispersion of the emulsion.
(5) anti-caking agent. The anti-caking agent is usually a fine mineral filler, which acts to prevent the agglomeration of the emulsion powder during storage and transportation, and also helps the emulsion powder product to come out when it is dumped from the paper bag or tank truck.
