Redispersible Polymer Powder(Redispersible Latex Powder Redispersible Polymer Emulsion Powder) plays an important role as an additive of building mortar. Adding redispersible emulsion powder to mortar can prepare a variety of mortar products such as tile glue, insulation mortar, self-leveling mortar, putty, plastering mortar, decorative mortar, joint pointing agent, repairing mortar and waterproof sealing material, which expands the application range and application performance of building mortar. Of course, redispersible emulsion powder has adaptability problems with cement, admixtures and admixtures, which should be paid enough attention in specific applications.

The polymer rdp/Redispersible Polymer Powder(redispersible emulsion powder) is physically mixed with other inorganic adhesives (such as cement, hydrated lime, gypsum, clay, etc.) as well as various aggregates, fillers and other additives (such as hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose, polypolysaccharide (starch ether), cellulose fiber, etc.) to make dry mix mortar. When the dry powder mortar is mixed in water, under the action of hydrophilic protective colloid and mechanical shear force, the latex powder particles can be quickly dispersed into water, and enough to make the redispersible latex powder fully film. The different composition of rubber powder has an impact on the rheological properties of mortar and various construction properties: the affinity of latex powder to water when it is redispersed, the different viscosity of latex powder after dispersion, the impact on the gas content of mortar and the distribution of bubbles, the interaction between rubber powder and other additives, so that different latex powder has an effect of increasing fluidity, increasing thixotropy and increasing viscosity.

With the increase of the content of redispersible emulsion powder/Rdp, the whole system develops in the direction of plastic. In the case of high emulsion powder content, the polymer phase in the cured mortar gradually exceeds the phase of the inorganic hydration product, the mortar has a qualitative change, and becomes an elastomer, while the hydration product of the cement becomes a "filler". The dispersed film of dispersible emulsion powder distributed on the interface plays another key role, that is, it enhances the adhesion of the contact material, which is good for some difficult surfaces, such as very low water absorption or non-water absorption surfaces (such as smooth concrete and cement material surface, steel plate, homogeneous brick, vitrified brick surface, etc.) and organic material surfaces (such as EPS board, plastic, etc.). It is especially important. Because the bonding of the mechanical adhesive to the material is achieved through the principle of mechanical embeddings, that is, the hydraulic slurry penetrates into the gap of other materials, gradually solidifies, and finally the mortar is attached to the surface of the material like the key embedded in the lock. For the above difficult surface, due to the inability to effectively penetrate into the material to form a good mechanical embeddings, The mortar with only inorganic adhesive is not effectively bonded to it, which is well proved by electron microscope observation. The bonding mechanism of polymers is different. Polymers are bonded to the surface of other materials by intermolecular force, and do not depend on the porosity of the surface (of course, the rough surface and the increased contact surface will improve the bonding force), which is more obvious in the case of organic substrates, and the electron microscope observation has also proved its superiority in the bonding force.
